We’ve got the feeling you may be wondering how to spend your Public Holiday – so here’s some ideas to keep you busy…

1. Grab your morning coffee / Smoothie at Strength Cafe.

Tucked inside the recently relocated IMF Gym, you’ll find Strength Cafe who’s serving amazing coffee and seriously epic smoothies filled with all the right kinds of stuff. We recommend grabbing your beverage of choice TO GO and heading down to the beach for a moment of contemplation before you kick off your Freedom Day celebrations.

Their address is 1 Ballito Drive, Ballito and you can find Strength Cafe on Facebook HERE.

{Side note: Almond Breeze product placement entirely our own. Cos we’re healthy like that.}

2. Brunch at Tashas.

Tasha’s Ballito has just opened at the Ballito Junction mall, and we couldn’t be more excited. #ByeByePayCheck.

Our recommendation for breakie / brunch vibes? The Breakfast Royale! Add parma ham of course 😉 but it’s all good, so you pick and let us know if it was good!

3. Afternoon Snack from 2 Guys Fish & Chips.

This Fish & Chips Food Truck is right on Salt Rock beach so it’s perfect for getting your fingers greasy with their amazing Fish & Chips when the midday hunger pangs strike.

Location: Salties Beach. You can find more info on Facebook HERE.

4. Gin & Tonics at The Shed.

We’ve got a feeling some form of undeniable thirst will hit you at around 2.30 pm, and when it does you should head directly to The Shed!

You can find The Shed at The Litchi Orchard in Salt Rock and they have flippen awesome food and drinks and a cool vibe that will make you want to hang around all afternoon. We recommend their Lime & Strawberry G & T, but they’ve got stacks of other drinks and some trendy craft beers on tap to keep you quenched all day long.

You can get their details on Facebook HERE.

5. Pizzas from Salt Cafe & Sundowners on Salties Beach.

And to end off this beautiful Freedom Day in Ballito, we suggest popping in to Salt Cafe, grabbing some takeaway pizzas, stashing a coolerbox and heading down to enjoy the sunset on your favourite beach!

Above all, have fun and take care of yourselves and each other today! If you have any ideas of your own, please let us know in the comments below.

Enjoy and be safe.
