5 Easy Snacks To Take To The Beach

Living on the coastline in Ballito we all love to pack our things and head down to the beach for the day, and we all know that all the sun, water, and fun will make everybody very hungry. This is why taking snacks to the beach is an absolute MUST!! Packing snacks for the beach can be a tad tricky, you could take a chance and just throw whatever you have in your fridge into a cooler and call it a day… but you’re kind of rolling the dice if you take that route. There are a bunch of different factors to deal with like the heat, cooler space, whether you actually feel like packing utensils, messiness, and sand, which has the amazing ability to end up everywhere. Now you’re thinking “well this is starting to sound way to complex” don’t worry we’ve put together a quick list of easy snacks to take onto the beach below:


  • Chip Rolls


Now I’m sure if you live in Ballito or anywhere in South Africa, you know what a chip roll is, but we thought we’d add it to the list any way only because it ticks almost all of the boxes like being quick, easy, delicious and fairly inexpensive !! All you need is your choice of chippies and some rolls and you’re good to go.


  • Sliced Carrots/Cucumber/Celery


Not only Is this a super healthy snack but its also super delicious and easy to eat, as an option you can take something to dip the sliced veggies in to add some extra flavor.


  • Hard-Boiled Eggs


Boiled eggs might be one of the best brach snacks out there, they are easy to make, there are delicious where they are hot or cold and if they happen to have an unfortunate meeting with beach sand they are easily rinsed of and good as new again. They also don’t break the bank. We recommend peeling them before heading to the beach and putting them in a ziplock bag or container because who wants to struggle to peel and egg on the beach. 


  • Watermelon


Watermelon is a great fruit to take onto the beach not only is it tasty but its a great, healthy way to keep your little ones hydrated if they’re not a fan of water.


  • Frozen Grapes


Frozen grapes are a super easy delicious and refreshing snack to bring to the beach because they stay cold for a long time and even when they defrost, they’re delicious, all you need to do is put them in a small cooler and when you’re ready to eat them just open it up and you’ve got yourself cold refreshing snack.
