23-year-old Local Surfer Kurt Hunter has been a Ballito boy for 11 years and has basically lived at the beach ever since. When Kurt’s not at the beach surfing he works as a financial accountant in Durban, he is also co-owner of a really awesome surf & lifestyle clothing brand called African paradise.
He loves Ballito and its palm tree covered coastlines and tropical climate, and of course, the fact that you can find a decent wave almost anywhere in Ballito.
“I love that it’s still got a small-town feel to it and that all the locals know each other. I can truly say African Paradise was inspired by this rad town of ours!” – says Kurt
Kurt is torn between Bogs and salties as his favourite surf spot.
“I’d say bogs is definitely the most consistent, but I love a surf at salties because for me that really feels like home.” – says Kurt
